BLENDED - NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course Tuition: $115.00 | $35.00 DEPOSIT TO BOOK This is a 4 Hour Online Course with an additional Instructor Led portion you will need to attend. NRA has begun the next innovation in firearms training – blended learning. This teaching method blends an online student interface with one-on-one instructor training and evaluation. The online portion will cover the curriculum that is currently being taught from the student handbook. The live instructor will cover the hands-on firearm portions of the course, shooting exercises, the shooting qualification and make the final evaluation of student. This is a learning management system that integrates the course content with interactive applications, lecture, animation, and review questions. Then culminating with a final examination. The learning management system tracks the students process in the course, records their missed answers in the exam, provides materials for review questions missed, and provides the instructor with information about the student before the instructor led portion of the course. The NRA Basic Pistol Course is a blended training course, which means a portion of the course (Phase I) is conducted in an eLearning environment (online), that can be completed on your own time. Upon successfully completing the online exam, students will be required to register for the instructor-led training portion (Phase II), which is to be conducted at a shooting range with an MMI Tactical NRA Certified Instructor. You must successfully complete Phase I and Phase II in order to receive your Basic Pistol certificate. What You Will Learn: Gun Safety Rules Types of Pistols Understanding a Revolver & a Semi-Automatic Pistol Ammunition The Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting Shooting Positions Pistol Shooting Errors Clearing Pistol Stoppages Cleaning and Maintenance Selecting Pistols, Ammunition & Accessories Maintaining Your Skills Completion & Expiration You must complete all 11 lessons and a final exam with a 90% pass rate in order to get certified as having completed Phase 1 of your training. If you do not pass the exam the first time you will be provided with four additional opportunities to take the exam. Once you pass the exam you will be directed to generate a completion certificate that you can save as a file and/or print. You will use your PIN to register for your instructor led portion (or Phase II) of the course on the website.
